It is official. BlaBlaNote is on the App Store. Two listings, in fact: the BlaBlaNote app for iPhone and iPad, and a Safari extension that turns your browser into a one-tap capture tool. Two installs, one workflow, zero friction.

If you have been using BlaBlaNote on the web and waiting for a proper home on iOS, your wait is over. Install BlaBlaNote from the App Store and you are ready in under a minute.

BlaBlaNote onboarding on iPhone

A real iOS app, built as a PWA

We took a route a lot of teams talk about and few actually pull off: BlaBlaNote on iOS is a Progressive Web App, packaged and shipped through the App Store. Same codebase as the web, same features as the web, same updates as the web, all behind a native iOS shell with the icon, splash screen and lifecycle behaviour you expect from a real app.

What this means for you, in practice:

  • Install it like any other iOS app. Tap Get on the App Store, the BlaBlaNote icon appears on your home screen, and that is it. No more “Add to Home Screen” walkthrough, no more Safari bookmark pretending to be an app.
  • It launches as an app. Full screen, no Safari address bar, no tabs, no accidental swipes back to a different page. Splash screen on cold start, instant resume from background, the works.
  • Push notifications work properly. Reminders for follow-ups, networking cadence nudges, and event prompts arrive natively, with the same lock screen behaviour you get from any other app you have installed.
  • It updates by itself. When we ship a new feature on the web, your iOS app gets it on the next launch. No App Store update queue, no “your app needs to be updated” friction. The release pipeline is one pipeline.

If you wondered why we did not ship a fully native Swift app, the honest answer is that a PWA gets you 95 percent of the experience for a fraction of the maintenance cost, and lets us keep one team shipping in one place. The remaining five percent is mostly polish, and we will get there as it becomes worth getting.

What you can do on day one

Everything BlaBlaNote does on the web, you do on iOS. That is the point.

  • Voice notes that turn into contacts and tasks. Tap record after a meeting, talk for thirty seconds, and BlaBlaNote files names, follow-ups and dates where they belong.
  • Smart event mode. Going to a conference? Walk in, hit Event mode, and every voice note from the next two days links to the right person automatically.
  • Your full network, organised. Contacts, interactions, important dates, tags and relationship cadence, all on the phone you carry anyway.
  • Dark mode out of the box. If your iPhone is on dark mode, so is BlaBlaNote. No flash, no “loading the theme” half-second of pain.
  • Calendar and integrations sync. Your Google or Outlook calendar shows up the same way it does on the web, with pre-event insights right before each meeting.

The iPhone is where most of these moments actually happen: at the door of an event, in the back of a taxi after a coffee, in the elevator on the way back to your desk. Having BlaBlaNote in your pocket changes how often you capture, and the capture rate is what makes a personal CRM useful in the first place.

And a Safari extension, while we are at it

The other thing we shipped this week is a Safari extension for macOS. If you live in Safari and you spend half your day on LinkedIn, conference websites, founder profiles or sponsor pages, you know the drill: open profile, copy name, switch tabs, paste into your CRM, switch back. Five steps to save one contact, and that is on a good day.

The Safari extension fixes that. Click the BlaBlaNote icon in your Safari toolbar from any page with a person on it, and the contact lands in BlaBlaNote with the right name, role, company and source link, ready for you to add a note or schedule a follow-up. It is the same thinking behind your network in your browser, now native to Safari.

The Safari extension is being reviewed and rolling out on the App Store as we speak. We will update this post with the install link the moment it is live. If you want to be the first to know, keep an eye on your account and we will ping you in app.

Who we built this for

If any of these sound like you, the iOS app is going to feel like a relief:

  • Founders and operators who meet ten new people a week and forget half of them by Friday.
  • Coaches and consultants who need to walk into every session knowing exactly what was said last time.
  • Event regulars who come back from a conference with a hundred unread voice memos and zero follow-ups sent.
  • Anyone with a phone in their hand who would rather record a thirty-second note than type a paragraph at a red light.

The iPhone is where capture happens. Until now, capturing from your phone meant Safari, an icon pretending to be an app, and a stack of small papercuts. With the App Store version, it is just an app. Like every other tool you actually use.

Install it tonight

If you are already a BlaBlaNote user, install the iOS app from the App Store, sign in with the account you already have, and your contacts, interactions, events and calendar are all there waiting for you. Nothing to migrate, nothing to set up.

If you are new and curious, the App Store install is the lowest friction way to start. Tap Get, sign up inside the app, and you are recording your first voice note in two minutes. The free trial is the same one you would get on the web, just on the device you actually carry.

We would love to hear how it feels in the wild. If something looks off, if a screen does not adapt the way you expected, or if a feature you use every day on the web behaves differently on iOS, tell us. The whole point of shipping a PWA on the App Store is that we can fix it the same week we hear about it.

The Safari extension link is coming next. Until then, enjoy the app. The phone in your pocket is finally up to speed with the rest of BlaBlaNote.
