A week from now, Gorka and I will be in Bilbao for B-Venture 2026, the eleventh edition of what has quietly become one of the most useful startup events in northern Spain. Two days, 24 startups, more than 200 investors, corporates and family offices, and over 1,100 scheduled B2B meetings packed into Palacio Euskalduna. If you’re going, I’d love to grab a coffee.

This is a short post with a simple goal: tell you we’ll be there, explain what we’ll be showing, and invite you to come find us.

Why B-Venture matters to us

BlaBlaNote is, at its heart, a tool about relationships. People you meet once at a conference and promise you’ll follow up with. Clients you haven’t spoken to in three months. Investors who said something important in a hallway that you meant to write down and didn’t. B-Venture is exactly the kind of event where those moments pile up faster than any human brain can file them.

It’s also the event where El Correo recently profiled us, under a headline I’ve been quoting to myself ever since: Recordatorio para mí mismo. A reminder for myself. That’s pretty much how BlaBlaNote started. Gorka and I kept leaving conversations and conferences with our heads full of names, context, follow-ups, and half-formed ideas, and then watching most of it evaporate before we could do anything with it. We built the first version of BlaBlaNote because we wanted our own reminder system. Turns out a lot of other people wanted the same thing.

Getting picked as one of the 24 startups at B-Venture 2026 feels like a validation of that original itch. Not a trophy, but a room full of people who we suspect share the same problem.

Who do you want to meet today?

This is the question we want every B-Venture attendee to stop asking themselves out loud and start answering inside BlaBlaNote. Two days, 200 investors, 24 startups, and 1,100 scheduled meetings is a lot. If you don’t walk in with a plan, you walk out exhausted and unsure who you actually connected with.

So we’re preparing something special for attendees, and we’ll unveil it on site. A few of the things we’re building specifically for B-Venture 2026:

  • A personalized agenda. Tell BlaBlaNote who you want to meet, which sectors you care about, and what kind of conversations you’re hoping to have. It crosses that against the program and the attendee list, and points you at the talks, panels, and people worth prioritizing.
  • Smart matchmaking. Beyond the formal B2B matchmaking that B-Venture already runs, we’ll surface second-degree matches: the investor who isn’t in your vertical but just backed a company that looks like yours, or the corporate innovation lead whose last three panels mention exactly the problem you solve.
  • Post-event follow-up, already written. Every voice note you record during the event turns into a contact card, an action item, and a draft follow-up message waiting for you to review on the train home. If you’ve ever spent the week after a conference trying to remember who to email first, this is for you.

We’ll share the exact access details at our slot on day one. If you want a head start, create your account before Bilbao and we’ll set you up in about two minutes when you stop by.

What we’ll be showing

If you stop by our slot, here’s what you’ll see:

  • The full capture flow. Start a voice note on your phone right after a chat, hand the phone to us, and we’ll show you what BlaBlaNote does with it. Transcription, automatic action items, contact recognition, the works. It works in 30 languages and we are happy to test it in yours.
  • Event mode. A feature we built specifically for days like B-Venture, where you meet twenty new people in a row and need to remember who said what by tomorrow morning. It links your voice notes to the right contact automatically, so you don’t end up with a folder full of “meeting with that guy from the fund” recordings.
  • How teams and organizers use us. If you run a networking association, a business school, or an event yourself, we have a lot to say about what we’ve learned from the organizations already using BlaBlaNote. Ask us about it.

Come find us

The practical bits:

  • Dates: Tuesday April 21 and Wednesday April 22, 2026
  • Venue: Palacio Euskalduna, Bilbao
  • Who’s there from BlaBlaNote: Oriol Vila and Gorka Mendez, both co-founders
  • What we want to do: talk to as many people as possible, especially investors, corporates, event organizers, and anyone who manages a professional community

If you want to book a slot in advance, B-Venture has a formal matchmaking system and we’ll be in it. If you prefer to just wander by, that works too. And if you’re reading this from somewhere else and you want to chat remotely, the app is right here: try it for yourself and we’ll follow up after Bilbao.

A quick thank you to Diario El Correo and all the partners who make B-Venture happen every year: Sabadell, Laboral Kutxa, BBK, CaixaBank DayOne, ENISA, Deusto Emprende, SPRI, the Basque Government, Bilbao City Council, and the Bizkaia Provincial Council. Events like this one don’t organize themselves, and the Basque ecosystem is lucky to have it.

See you in Bilbao. Bring a question, a voice note, or just a coffee recommendation. All three work for me.
